I'm not pleased with Finding Fish
I am not comfortable reading about the abuse in Finding Fish. We do have an option of skipping to Peace Like a River. What do you think? Danielle

Peace Like a River
I have our next book, Peace Like a River. I'll put the copies in the ice chest on my front porch. (Provo Library needed me to pick them up early, but they are not due back until July.)

Anchor

I knew it when the Patriarch lay his hands on my head and spoke things to me that he couldn’t have known of himself. He knew by the Spirit what the Lord wanted me to hear. I know of the reality of the Priesthood from blessings I have received from my dad and from Sir Kay. I have a new testimony of bishops. They are called to help us. They are stewards over us. I have a testimony of all the men called to be prophets, seers and revelators today. I love to read their words, for they are the words that will guide us through life happily. I have a testimony of families and what the Proclamation on the family states. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith. I remember being a part of a first discussion in our home and feeling the Spirit witness to me that I really did know that this miracle had taken place. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. The Spirit has touched my heart about all these truths more than once. I also know that
Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God. (Ether 12:4)
I remember when my older sister showed me that verse when I was in junior high or high school. Looking back, I’d love to go back to that time when I thought I knew what a trial was, because the trial I face right now is almost more than I can bear. Book Club meeting
Becky is having trouble with her computer, so she asked me to send this out. She is planning to hold Book Club at her home next Tuesday, the 13th at 12:30pm. She would like two fruit salads, a dessert, drink and bread. She's planning to serve a Cafe Rio-type lunch with rice, meat, tortillas, and all the yummy trimmings. Please RSVP and let us know what you can bring.

I checked in with provo library and they have quite a few books available may 5. you can read the reviews/synopsis if you go to provolibrarybookclub.blogspot.com
available titles are : Bee Season, The Blind Assasin, Finding Fish (a memoir), The Four Agreements, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Hours, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, Reading Lolita in Tehran, The Story of My Life, Suzannes Dirary for Nicolas, Tears of a Giraffe, Uncle Tungsten.
What should I reserve? There are also probably 30 titles available at the orem library. They just don't have them posted on line.
